Trumps First Week

Trump really hasn’t wasted his time. The flow of executive orders has been almost continuous since day one. Dismantling Obama Care, the best health scheme in america yet, the pointless Southern Border Wall which will achieve nothing but wasting $12 million in TaxPayers (not Mexican) money, and annoying one of the USA’s biggest trading partners, and the blatantly racist, ignorant and illegal ban on refugees, Syrians, Iranians, Iraqis, Libyans, Somalians, Sudanese, and Yemenis. He has shown no signs of quieting down as I had hoped, and has instead done exactly what he said he would (a rarity in politics). He has screwed america over; tenfold.

Trump Inaugurated as US President

And so the mighty USA fell… Donald Trump was today Inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States of America.

This poses the question; what next for America. No matter what all the new reporters say, we really don’t know. We can hope Congress has enough sense to prevent most of the damage. We can hope that Trump quietens down, and uses some common sense. We can hope for all the things we want, but the fact remains, we have very little control over what happens in the US. All we can do is hope for the best.

He also said he believed National could win the 2017 election.

The Greens have released a statement:

‘On behalf of Metiria, the Green Party MPs and the Party, I would like to thank John Key for his eight years of service as Prime Minister,’ said Green Party Co-leader James Shaw.
